Compost Topdressing & Seeding

During the construction process, topsoil is frequently either washed away, removed, or destroyed. Often what is left behind is highly compacted dirt, void of any organic matter, nutrients, or microbials and, as a result, unable to sustain plant life. This barren highly-compacted surface is largely impermeable and only further increases run-off when it rains. Our solution: compost seeding.

Good quality compost is 100% natural and restores the organic matter and microbials lost in the construction process, helping to transform lifeless dirt back into topsoil. Benefits include:

Compost - Nature’s Solution

• 100% natural and organic

• Improves existing soil structure and biology

• Improves absorption and infiltration of moisture

• Long-term time-release of nutrients

• Naturally free of weeds and pathogens

Compost seeding is a seeding process where we use only top-quality compost, mix in seed, and apply it with a pneumatic blower truck. It can be used during construction as an organic alternative to traditional methods of soil and slope stabilization, such as erosion control blankets or hydromulch/ hydroseeding. It can also be used after construction in order to rehabilitate soil and establish vegetation.

Compost Seeding

We believe in natural solutions, and that includes using native seeds. Native plants:

Native Seeds

• Conserve water

• Do not require additional fertilizing

• Are naturally disease and bug-resistant

• Are low maintenance
